Amazing Sole Authorship Damascus on this piece from Owen Wood. The Waving Ribbons on the Bolsters are Deep Relief Engraved by Amayak Stepanyan. The Scales are an aggregate stone called "Pietersite" - composed mostly of Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye, it was originally discovered in Namibia in 1962. The stone is notoriously hard to work, but Owen Wood has done a masterful job of shaping and finishing it for the scales. The Liners have been anodized a rich, gold color. Just fascinating to look at, especially in person.
