Ed Cope Custom Knife T-22 Titanium Frame Lock Flipper

As a young lad Ed was inspired by his grandfather Russell who was a tool and die maker for Starrett tools for 40 years. Russell would often make knives as a hobby including one he gave to Ed when he joined the Army in 2003. As a kid, Russell would take Ed to the local flea market where Ed would start his collection journey as many of us do by picking up some cheap pocket knives. Ed fell in love. In 2010 Ed was introduced to the legend Tom Mayo and his wife Kathy at a church function Ed was hosting at his home. Until this time Ed really did not have a clue that the custom knife world existed. At the time Ed had no idea who he was really talking to. Later when Googling Tom it opened his eyes to the world of collector knives and just how many people really wanted them. Over time Ed became close friends with Tom. After Ed's return from Afghanistan in 2013 he prodded Tom to teach him how to make knives and Tom was most gracious and accepted the challenge Source: www.copeknives.com
