Jim Schmidt Custom Knife Sole Authorship Damascus and Mastodon Lockback Signed Schmidt 2/24/92 #150 “Old Tooth”

It is rare to see one of Jim Schmidt's knives with Mastodon scales. Jim has meticulously and incredibly detailed the spine of this knife with acid etched flowers. This acid etching was extremely time consuming and seldom seen on his folding knives. Out of all the folding knives by Jim Schmidt that I have seen, this is only the 6th knife (including seeing the 4 that are featured in the new book about Jim Schmidt) that I have seen with the flowers acid etched into the spine.
