This knife was made by knife making legend Ron Lake. He introduced this knife which is numbered 1 at the first Knife Makers Guild show in 1972. This model called the Saddle Hunter was the first Tail lock that Ron Lake had patented. During its introduction to the knife world, collectors and makers were lining up to marvel at Ron Lake's tail lock. It originally sold for $85 and the following year the model was selling for $115.
