Jim "Treeman" Behring

Jim “Treeman” Behring, a lifelong Michigander, forged his first knife from leaf spring at 11 and honed his craft in a forging die shop before serving as an Army recon scout. Blending hands-on forging with functional design, he’s best known for Scagel-inspired camp knives, tactical blades, and axes—all hand-forged from O1 tool steel with convex grinds, stag and micarta handles, brass fittings, and leather sheaths. Praised by collectors, operators, and forums alike, Treeman knives are durable heirlooms built for the wild.
