Form follows function but usually not this well. This custom knife by Joel Chamblin seeks to perfect a design that has stood the test of time since spine tensioned folding knives have existed.

We know the design so well we could probably sharpen it in the dark. However, if Grandpa's knife was made of ATS-34 steel we may have never learned to sharpen knives. If you have a Stradivarius and want to whittle something in it, please have the common decency to use a Joel Chamblin knife of this caliber.
