Ron Lake Custom Knife Boot Blade Mother of Pearl Shell Interframe Tail Lock Engraved by Ron Skaggs.  Just Incredible.  This knife was featured on page 115 of David Darom's "The Great Collections" book.   It is a truly fascinating piece to examine and appreciate.   Ron Lake did not make many knives of its size at a little better than 7 inches open.  Also adding to its rarity is the Boot Style Blade that has been perfectly ground. The Nickel Silver frame has been beautifully engraved by Master Engraver Ron Skaggs.  Ron Lake was experiencing issues with his eyes and attributed these issues with the use of Pearl scales on his knives.  He has not made a pearl handled knife in over 15 years.
