Al Mar (1979–) established Al Mar Knives to blend custom-level quality with production efficiency. As a Green Beret and Gerber’s head of design, he used his experience in martial arts and special operations to create tactical classics like the S.E.R.E. and Warrior knives. Initially made in Seki, Japan, these knives gained fame for their flat-ground blades, durable steels, and ergonomic designs. After his passing in 1992, the brand continues under Gary Fadden, maintaining its legacy of precision-made tactical and everyday knives.
