Andy Shinosky
Andy Shinosky, based in Austintown, Ohio, is celebrated for his intricately hand-engraved interframe lockbacks and automatics. A skilled tool-and-die maker by trade, he started crafting knives as a hobby and later earned acclaim—winning Blade magazine’s “Best New Maker” in 1993 and awards at major shows. His creations feature mirror-polished ATS‑34 or CPM‑154 blades, paua shell or abalone inlays, and densely engraved stainless liners with gold accents. Each piece reflects 40–100 hours of meticulous engraving, making them collector-grade artworks crafted entirely by one person.
