T.M. Dowell

Ted “T.M.” Dowell was a legendary figure in the custom knife world, known for his integral knife designs, precision-ground blades and sleek folding knives. As an early innovator in custom knifemaking, Dowell’s designs emphasize clean lines, fine tolerances, and elegant materials. Ted Dowell was one of the founding members of the Knife Makers’ Guild as well as one of the Guild’s Presidents. Sadly Ted passed away in 2012. His legacy continues to inspire modern makers and his knives remain highly collectible.
