This very nice and rare Gut Hook was made by Bob Loveless between 1975 and 1977 when Bob Loveless worked in his shop without and helpers. It is a very early Riverside California knife that features the small football logo. The small football logo was introduced in 1975 and was only stamped on knives for a few years. Loveless was in shop by himself from 1975-1982.

The Natural Stag handles are well matched and the handle is the "Improved Handle" design. On the reverse side of the ricasso you can see a small dimple in the steel where Bob tested the Rockwell hardness of the blade. The knife feels amazing in the hand and is in amazing condition for a knife that is over 35 years old.
