Ralph Dewey Harris Custom Knife Sole Authorship Engraved #001 Mother of Pearl Side Release OTF Automatic
This is when 001 actually means 001! These are THE FIRST DOUBLE ACTION OTF knives made by Ralph Dewey Harris. Ralph created history as the first custom maker to produce a double action OTF mechanism. Up to this point there were plenty of amazing OTF mechanisms through history but they were single action until Ralph came along. Ralph has said that he would spend a week making a knife and 3 days engraving it which is actually pretty fast in the custom knife world. He preferred to adorn them with pearl inlays and file work or mirror polish on the sides of the handles. His precision is as good as any CNC produced OTF of today but all his work was done by hand.
